The 2021 Winter NAMM show is in full swing - virtually of course. There are new basses to talk about from Spector, Jackson Guitars, Charvel and Aria Guitars. There's also a new signature Thunderbird bass from Gibson.
Spector introduced the NS Dimension and NS Ethos Basses
Both instruments are modern takes on their NS body shape with the Dimension featuring a multi-scale neck.
Jackson Guitars introduced the X Series Concert Bass CBXNT DX IV which appears to be an amalgamation of several vintage basses.
Charvel introduced the Pro-Mod San Dimas Basses.
These are two new retro production basses.
Aria Guitars introduced the Jet-B model. Taking cues from its guitar counterpart, the new bass has a single-cut offset body and a 32-inch scale for easier playability.
Finally, Gene Simmons has collaborated with Gibson on a joint venture called G². It will kick off later this year with the G² Thunderbird Bass, an instrument that Simmons debuted during the KISS concert in Dubai for New Year’s Eve. It will come in an ebony and silver version as well as an ebony and blood red version.
